All You Need to Know About the Adobe Flash Player 26 Beta Release
Adobe Flash Player is free application software that allows viewing of multimedia content and applications, among others, as well as developing rich content. It works on Microsoft Windows, Android, macOS, Solaris, Blackberry and Linux OS. But lately, the popularity of this freeware software has been dwindling due to security vulnerabilities. Consequently, Adobe is working full time in addressing these issues with its released patches. This month, a beta version of Flash Player 26 has been released via Adobe Labs, along with Air 26 with the codename York.
This latest update aims to promote stability, enhance security and device compatibility as well as improve performance with the help of bug fixes, enhancements, and new features. For Air 26, it includes enhancements for Apple TV OS support.
Both Flash Player and Air are Adobe Flash Platform runtimes that have been a boon to the commercial industry. With their features, customers are able to get rich multimedia content and learn more about the products and services of businesses from different devices. Conversely, for app and game developers, creating high-quality 2D and 3D video games as well scalable date driven applications and videos in high-def qualities is achievable. This is because both the Flash Player and Air use a common codebase.
The three issues resolved in the latest update are the unexpected halt of video playback from http://tw.youvivid.com/preview_showcase.asp (FP-4198402), sudden halt of the application once it interacts with site tabs and the [Mac] EncryptedLocalStore API bug: EncryptedLocalStore A (4187974). Meanwhile, a week earlier, the bugs fixed were the absence and audio and video for FP Beta 184.108.40.206 and 220.127.116.11 (FP-4198395) as well as unexpected halt of the application. Another known issue found on Adobe Flash Air was related to the malfunctioning of the removeMovieClip() method(FP-4198400).
