It seems that yesterday, WhatsApp’s servers have been facing some issues for a few hours, as many users have reported issues when trying to access the application. In concordance with “The Independent,” the servers had problems for several hours before being solved. Users from Malaysia, Germany and Spain along with other European countries have faced the issues we’ve mentioned above.
According to reports, some users had problems while trying to send and receive messages, while others couldn’t even log into their WhatsApp accounts. The developers of WhatsApp have acknowledged the problem, but it took them a while to fix it. In fact, the WhatsApp service had these problems for a few hours, which can be quite annoying for such a popular application.
WhatsApp gave an official statement to “The Independent”, saying that “Earlier today, WhatsApp users in all parts of the world were unable to access WhatsApp for a few hours. We have now fixed the issue and apologize for the inconvenience.”
DownDetector claims that 51% of the users have reported WhatsApp connection issues, while 37% had problems while trying to send and receive messages. However, only 10% of them have reported that had issues with the “last seen” feature. According to a report from IANS, other affected severely countries are Netherlands, Belgium and United Kingdom.
However, the WhatsApp service had some issues in several parts of Canada, United States, Brazil, India and Canada. Most of the affected people had their devices running on Windows Mobile, Android and iOS.
We remind you that WhatsApp is one of the most popular mobile messaging applications out there that has over 1.2 billion monthly active users. Only in India there are over 200 million people who are using WhatsApp, which it is quite impressive.
