Facebook Messenger New Update Sorts Your Conversations In Tabs
A new version of Facebook Messenger has just been released, which will surely make many users very happy. If you are using this application, then you know that a previous update has sorted the conversations in a long list, which was quite confusing for most of you.
Well, it seems that the developers have noticed that they needed to do something about this and they have brought conversations in tabs, which will surely help you find your favorite chat faster than before.
Once you update to the latest Facebook Messenger version, you will notice a tab called “Messages”, where all on-to-one conversations are listed. Another tab is named “Active,” and it will show if someone is online or when they were last seen online on Messenger. Lastly, the third tab is named Groups and, as you’ve probably already guessed, it will list all group chats.
At the bottom of the application, you will notice now tabs for the Homescreen and Calls that are located slightly left from the camera shutter that’s used for Stories. On the right side of the camera shutter, you will notice Searching for People and Playing Games.
David Marcus, the Vice President of Messaging Products at Facebook, mentioned that a Discover tab will soon be added to the Facebook Messenger. At the same time, you won’t have to worry about missing messages, as Facebook has added a red dot to notify you if there is anything you’ve missed. The mentioned Facebook Messenger update is now available worldwide for devices running on iOS and Android platforms.
We’re pretty sure that the developers are already working on some new features that will be implemented to the application in the near future.
