FIFA 17 is a football video game that has been developed by EA Canada and published by EA Sports. The game has been released back in September 2016 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
While the game is quite old, it seems that there are still new players that have just purchased it. “I’m a casual fifa player and I didn’t know where else to ask this question. How exactly do squad updates work? I’ve never really done them. Is it just updated rosters and ratings or does it include form/injuries or something? I know it’s a noob question – thanks for any help though,” sked hokie101624 from Reddit.
The answer was quite easy and yankeefan324 has managed to reply to his question with “Squad updates normally don’t include injuries, but I think it downgrades a player if he does have an injury. Meaning you can still play them in your XI, but they’ll be a little worse than their usual OVR. I think FIFA does squad updates once a week.”
In other words, no matter if the players are not doing so well in real life and they suffered an injury that will keep them away from the soccer field for a couple of weeks, they will still be able to play in the game. However, the injured player will not play as well as it used to in FIFA 17, which will most likely not take part in the starting 11 and it will be introduced on the way.
If you consider changing the player, we remind you that chemistry is very important in FIFA 17, meaning that you will need to get another player that will have good chemistry with other nearby players (same country, same team or same league can highly increase the chemistry).
