Clash of Clans New Update – Samsung Issues, Village Issues and Fixes
A new major update has been released for Clash of Clans a few days ago, which has brought a second village. We can clearly say that this is one of the best updates that have been released for Clash of Clans in 2017 and we’re sure that everyone agrees with us.
The update has also brought some balance changes to the regular game, but it also introduced a new “versus battle” mode, which takes place in real-time. Unfortunately, the new update has also come with some issues and today we will talk about a few of them.
Clash of Clans Doesn’t Get Updated
There are many users who’ve been complaining about their Clash of Clans game because of not being able to update. This issue has been noticed mainly on iOS devices, but in most of the cases, this is happening because you own an old and outdated version of iOS, which is no longer supported by the game.
Starting with this major update, Clash of Clans will no longer update on any iPod, iPad or iPhone that runs on iOS 7 or older. In other words, we suggest you to update your device to a new version of iOS and see if that fixes your issue.
Clash of Clans: Samsung Issues
There are also many owners of Samsung devices that are not able to install the latest version of the Clash of Clans. However, Supercell is aware about this problem and it is currently working on a fix. It seems that there are ways to fix this issue before Supercell manages to solve it. For example, if you own an old device from Samsung such as the Galaxy S3, you should try updating again, as there are high chances that it will work the second time.
If your Samsung phone is not able to load Clash of Clans or it freezes halfway, you should try to clear the cache and reinstall the game.
Clash of Clans: Village Issue Samsung Galaxy S8
The new Clash of Clans update has added support for full-screen mode on the Galaxy S8 handset. This is great, but at the same time it has messed up the graphics and sometimes during raids, you will not be able to see villages. Supercell has mentioned that it is aware of this problem and it will try to fix it soon.
In the meantime, you can head to Settings->Display->Screen zoom & font and increase the screen zoom to medium or make the font bigger. However, keep in mind that this is a temporary fix, which will also make everything on your device bigger.
