Grand Theft Auto is one of the most long-lasting and well-loved game series in the entire world. In fact, this year marks its twentieth anniversary, and let’s face it, 20 years is an impressive amount of time for a game to stay popular. The game is currently at its fifth installment, which is doing great. In fact, Grand Theft Auto 5 Online recently saw a massive update come its way, namely the Gunrunning update with brought along millions of GTA$ worth of new items such as bunkers and vehicles.
However, with the current GTA 5 having launched a few years back, fans can’t help but wonder when Grand Theft Auto 6 will come. Well, the rumors aren’t too promising, to be honest. While some people claimed that, due to Red Dead Redemption 2 having launched this year under Rockstar’s tutelage, 2018 might be the year GTA 6 finally sees the light of day, others have predicted its launch as late as the year 2020.
The fact that Rockstar, the game’s creator and developer, haven’t given any official statement on this yet, not even now with all the rumors going crazy, is certainly not helping the situation. And now, a new prediction was born thanks to a well-known analyst, and it’s the darkest one yet. Keep reading to see what he has to say.
Michael Pachter, an analyst for Wedbush Security, actually thinks that Grand Theft Auto 6 might come out as late as 2024. Pachter made the statement during a podcast, and he seemed pretty convinced that Rockstar want to take their sweet time developing and promoting Red Dead Redemption 2 before jumping on the new GTA bandwagon. What do you think? Do you believe Pachter has a point? Let us know in the comments below.
