iOS 11 Update Comes with Latest Features and Changes

If you think about Apple’s past tendency of “stealing” or “borrowing” jailbreak tweaks and incorporating them into their future iOS versions, it is kind of ironic that the tech giant is trying to minimize the jailbreaking efforts made by the community. iOS 11 is no exception to the rule, but are there really some features that were taken from the jailbreaking tools?

Native QR Features on the Camera App

Up until iOS 11, Apple did not think of incorporating QR code scanning features to the Camera app. However, if you are familiar with the specific tweak made to the iOS Camera app, then you are aware that it is truly a useful addition. It has been around for approximately 4 years on Cydia, and fans do love it.

Files App

iOS 11 represents the first attempt Apple made to offer users an appropriate file manager on their operating system. Despite this, Cydia is full of apps such as iFile, that was released back in 2012. Truth be told, these are even better than what you can find on the iOS, because they are running under root, so they let you view even the system files.

More Icons for the iPad Dock

Many people who have used Harbor, which is a tweak that lets iPads use a dock that is similar to the macOS Yosemite look, may recognize some of it on the new iOS 11. Lots of app icons can now be docked in order to have quick access to them. It is also available for iPhone, but it is more useful if you have a Plus version.

One-handed Keyboard

For this feature, there have been the apps OneHandWizard or OneHanded for quite a while now. No wonder that iOS 11 seems so familiar to people who have previously used jailbroken devices!
