The Google Play Store is one of the places where you can find updates for apps for Android. WhatsApp is one of them, in which updates will work through it. Updating to the latest version should give you more features and options for a more secured messaging system.
The latest update for iOS devices include a couple of features. The first one is allowing any file types to be sent with the use of the Document option in the Share menu. It can be recalled that files were only limited to the PDF documents. With this new update, the new file size is the only limitation, which is 100MB.
At the same time, chats can now be pinned at the top of the list to find conversation threads that you think are important. In order do it, you have to swipe to the right on the chat and then tap on the pin icon. Moreover, you can now tap and hold the groups of photos received so that you can quickly forward or delete them.
On the other hand, the update for Android devices brings some grouped media files and new call answering function. Multiple media will be shown as another new feature within the same message instead of individually. Additionally, the update has added slight modification to its call function. This would allow you to swipe up in order to pick up a call.
A new delete and edit sent messages for WhatsApp has also been rolled out for WhatsApp and Messenger versions. In this regard, users would have the ability to edit and delete sent messages. However, the recipient should not read the message yet. Another feature would make allow sharing of GPS location, but may not be available in beta, which requires rooting and special procedure to be activated.
