Microsoft Surface Phone vs. iPhone 8 – Which One is Going to Blow Up the Market?
When it comes to high end flagships, there are a lot of devices to choose from. The various conventions and events held this year have brought forth a slew of incredible picks from the best manufacturers from all over the world. However, there are still two question marks left on the playing board. With Samsung’s Galaxy S8 in the open and other devices like around it, the only thing missing normally would be the iPhone 8. However, this year is different and it would seem that the Galaxy S8 might have another rival to worry about. The threat comes in the form of the Surface Phone, a new initiative from Microsoft that could turn over the market completely.
The iPhone 8
The new installment in the long lasting iPhone franchise from Apple is set out to be incredibly rewarding for those that upgrade from their current iPhone or join Apple’s almost closed in circuit for the first time. The device is going to extend and branch out from all the regular characteristics that pretty much define the iPhone smartphone model.
Great screen incoming
The screen seems to be the main focus for this device, according to multiple speculations. It’s not just about the fact that it will have a satisfying size, but also about the fact that it could potentially be an edgeless, curved display that uses OLED technology. There are apparently two smaller screen versions with TFT displays in the works as well, but rumors tend to fall short sometimes so it’s best to take that with a grain of salt.
There aren’t many things known for sure about Microsoft’s Surface Phone. The reason for this is that the phone itself is not even officially confirmed. So while everyone is pretty much in the loop about the ongoing development of such a device, it might as well not be for the amount of information Microsoft is letting slip right now, which is zero.
Even thought we don’t have precise numbers and confirmed specs to go off of, we can take a look at the speculated specifications which pop up in a lot of places. The device will apparently have a Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4 GB of RAM.
The cool thing about this device does not come in the form of specs however but of a pretty unique characteristic. To be more precise, the Surface Pro would apparently come with ports that allow you to connect a mouse, keyboard and display to it. This means that you can turn it into a pocket PC which you can take with you anywhere. Setting up a work station can happen in the blink of an eye and it can be convenient for a lot of people that need to work on the go.
