WhatsApp 2.17.299 BETA Download Available with Bug Fixes and New Improvements

WhatsApp is FREE cross-platform instant messaging application that has been released for smartphones back in 2009. In February 2014, Facebook has decided to purchase it for a price of $19.3 billion and soon enough it made the application totally FREE (it used to cost $0.99 per year). Currently, the WhatsApp application has over 1.3 billion monthly active users and 1 billion daily active users.

Once Facebook purchased the WhatsApp application, we’ve all seen some major changes, especially in privacy. This has caused many users to just uninstall the application. However, soon enough the developers have reacted and “repaired” their mistake and made the privacy mostly how it used to be. They even added the end-to-end encryption, which makes sure that only you and the other person, with whom you’re chatting with, can read the messages that you receive or send.

The latest WhatsApp BETA that has just been released for Android OS is 2.17.299. The installation file of the new WhatsApp 2.17.299 BETA has a size of 38.84MB, which is about 8.95MB larger than the previous version of the application.

However, despite the big file size difference, we’ve not seen any new features or options on the WhatsApp 2.17.299 BETA. This means that there are high chances that the developers will enable some new features or options once a new WhatsApp BETA version will be released.
