Here are the seven best videogames that will be released during the month of August. Choose wisely what to spend your money one. These are all amazing games, but they are very varied and they can suit a variety of gaming tastes, so take your pick.

  1. Sonic Mania

The Sonic game series is certainly one of the most longstanding ones in the world, alongside Mario and other classics. Sonic Mania is a return to origins for the franchise, with remixed levels from previous games mixed in with brand new ones. Sonic Mania will be released on the 15th of August for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and it will retail for just 20 dollars.

  1. Absolver

Echoing Ubisoft’s For Honor and Capcom’s God Hand, Absolver is a fast-paced combat game that will leave you wanting more after each fight. It’s developed in multiplayer format, so you can go against either AI enemies, as well as other actual players. Absolver will come out towards the end of August, on the 29th to be more exact, and it will cost you 30 dollars. It is only for PC and PlayStation 4, so Xbox One fans won’t be able to get it.

You might already be familiar with the Life is Strange miniseries of games. Well, now its prequel is coming out. Before the Storm tells the story of Chloe, as well as that of Chloe and Rachel Amber’s relationship. But now Chloe no longer has time changing powers, which is an interesting change in the original game’s dynamic. Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Episode 1 comes out on August 31, 2017 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4, and it will retail for 17 dollars.

Ninja Theory’s action-adventure game Hellbade is getting a new sequel in the form of Senua’s Sacrifice. The game is heavily inspired by Norse and Celtic mythology, following closely the narrative of a warrior woman named Senua. So if you’re into that, the game already was released on August 8th for PC and PlayStation 4. Go grab it now for just 30 dollars a pop.
