OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T to Receive Latest Android O Update

The Android O operating system has been confirmed as the latest update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T smart phones. This news has been released in a recent post on a OnePlus forum.

Android O operating system

This operating system was released on the 21st of March 2017 and it will add support for NAN for Wi-Fi, it will have an API for autofillers and Google Safe Browsing. Also, new emoji has been included in the Unicode 10 standard.

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

Both smartphone devices will receive the Android O operating system and OnePlus 2 the Android Marshmellow. After the OnePlus announced the news, the company also stated that their attention will be redirected towards the OnePlus 5. This could cause some concern to OnePlus 3 owners, making them think that the OnePlus 2 story might repeat itself. The OnePlus 2 was to receive the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system, however, in June the device received the Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The OnePlus 2 smart phones were released with the Android 5.0 Lollipop.

OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T

The smarthpone comes with the Snapdragon 820 processor, 6GB of RAM and 64 GB of Storage.  This model is the first one not part of the invite system. OnePlus 3T is an updated version and it was released on the 22nd of November 2016. It has the Snapdragon 821 chipset and a 3400mAH battery. Also, the front camera has 16MP.  The OnePlus 3 model has been discontinued since the 17th of November this year.

The phone has a metal design and curved edges. It was available in Graphite and Soft Gold. It has additional protective covers in many other colors such as rosewood, bamboo or sandstone. The OnePlus 3 is smaller than its predecessor the OnPlus 2.
