In Los Angeles there was a body found inside a car. The car was on the 300 block, South Westlake Ave., in the Westlike District. After the body has been reported homicide investigators have reached the scene.

Officer Irma Mota, Los Angeles Police Department said they’ve received the report at 2:10 a.m. on 18 April. The vehicle was towed to that street and they didn’t know if the body of the deceased was there when the vehicle was towed or whether he towed it or not. This is why homicide investigators were called to assess the scene and determine why the person died.

Other information such as age, gender and name of the person was not reported at first because, during the investigation, the area was secured by the police.

Later that day, the body was found to be a late 30s male, in a decomposed state. The car had a Uber sticker on the windshield and was found in the middle of the street. The body was identified as DiBartolo Frederico, a 39 year old male. Police didn’t find out whether the man was a Uber driver and the car wasn’t reported stolen.

Investigators search for more information from witnesses who passed by the car and from surveillance cameras from the neighborhood. A neighbor has already stated that she saw the car parked and nothing more, no shooting, no violence or anything suspicious.

On the surveillance cameras a resident saw a tow truck dropping the car in the middle of the street a day before the body was reported. After 12 hours of the vehicle being parked, the body was found in the car. Before that people thought that it was someone who made a delivery.

The coroner hasn’t yet reached to a conclusion regarding the cause of death.
