iPhone X To Affect iPhone 8 Sales
With iPhone 8 launching preorders on 15 September Apple might not have many costumers as they are surely going for the iPhone X which will be available to preorder at the end of October.
The industry analyst firm that watches Apple sales, KGI Securities issued a report on both iPhone 8 and Apple Watch Series 3. They reached the conclusion that the iPhone X might interfere with iPhone 8 preorders that went live last Friday. iPhone 8 will be available in a week or two to be ordered online as any other iPhone that has been available from six weeks since the first preorder wave.
iPhone X is More Impressive
Why don’t Apple users aim for iPhone 8? It’s simple, they want the iPhone X that will provide other features, an amazing screen, good camera and at a price that will be a little over the one for iPhone 8 Plus. Of course, iPhone X is very expensive, being the most expensive one ever created by Apple.
Having made the decision of releasing the iPhone 8 and iPhone X at a distance has been wise because it wouldn’t let customers decide between those two at the same time.
The only issue that might cause people not to buy the iPhone X would be the availability. Being a device that requires important components such as the edge-to-edge OLED display or the camera sensors, the iPhone X might be difficult to get until 2018. This would make customers take a closer look to the iPhone 8.
So customers will have to think it through: will they go for the cheaper iPhone 8 that features a home button, Touch ID and bezels or the expensive iPhone X, the iPhone of the year that features bezel-less screen, Face ID and a whole different design?
It all depends on what you really expect from your iPhone.
