Apple has been working on iOS 11.1 for a while now and we already had a chance to find out about its latest features from the beta testers. However, now Apple released Public Beta 2 and all users can try out the upcoming iOS version. One important feature is the 3D-Touch app switcher that was expected the original iOS release. This shows up that Apple never abandoned it, despite the fact that it was not included in the first iOS 11 betas.

However, the most anticipated addition was definitely the new set of emojis. Apple’s emojis have become a point of reference and they have inspired countless other emojis, so it comes as no surprise that everyone is dying to test the newest iOS symbols.

Public Beta Update 2 brings all the emojis

Last week Apple offered us a final sneak peek of all the upcoming emojis.

“Hundreds of new emoji, including more emotive smiley faces, gender-neutral characters, clothing options, food types, animals, mythical creatures and more, are coming to iPhone and iPad with iOS 11.1.  The new emoji are designed to reveal every detail and adapted from approved characters in Unicode 10. iOS 11.1 will also include characters announced on World Emoji Day like Woman with Headscarf, Bearded Person, Breastfeeding, Zombie, Person in Lotus Position and new food items such as Sandwich and Coconut. Also included in the update is the Love-You Gesture, designed after the “I love you” hand sign in American Sign Language,” Apple wrote back then.

Now you can already try all these new emojis if you are willing to test the iOS 11.1 beta. However, this means that you must prepare for all the disadvantages of beta versions, including a battery that drains faster, bugs and some other risks.

How to get Public Beta Update 2

First of all, you need a betta profile. If you do not have one go to https://beta.apple.com/ and create it. However, you should prepare yourself in case something goes wrong. In order to be safe, use the Archive tool for iOS backups in iTunes and select Back Up Now. This was you won’t lose any of your data.
