Adobe Flash Player Update Download Available for Windows
Adobe Flash Players is not by any means a perfect software. We all know about its flaws and how unsafe it can be, and these are the reasons why Adobe itself has decided to put an end to it in 2020. Until then, we can only make sure that we keep Adobe Flash Player up to date in order to maintain our device as safe as possible. Right now Microsoft released a new update, KB4051613, that is meant to solve some of the problems that existed in previous Flash versions.
KB4051613 fixes a bug
The article from the official knowledge base mentions that “this update resolves issues in Adobe Flash Player that is installed on any supported edition of Windows”. Thanks to Adobe we managed to get more info about this update and It appears that it focuses on a certain bug: “In today’s release, we’ve updated Flash Player with an important functional fix impacting Flex content and recommend those users impacted update.”
It appears that the bug we are talking about is the one that made Flash Player crash in the VMware vSphere Web Client. This issue occurred in the 18.104.22.168 of the Flash Player, but it should be solved by this update.
The update was released for all the Windows versions that include Adobe Flash players. The company released the update for these versions: Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 RT, Windows 10 RTM, Windows 10 version 1507, 1511, 1607, 1703 and 1711, Windows Embedded 8, Windows Server 2012, Server 2012 R2, Server 2016.
Install the update
To install the update you simply need to head over to Windows Update and check if there are any updates available. You should see the update for Adobe Flash Player there. Simply press the Download button.
