If you are an Android user it makes sense to use Google products, especially when it comes to your emails. However, there are plenty of reasons why you might decide to use another client such as Outlook since it now includes Hotmail.
The Outlook app features
Outlook does come with an app for Android, but don’t expect something that is similar to the desktop version. If you get the app you will gain access to certain features. For example, the Outlook app allows you to reschedule emails so that the message will be hidden until a certain time and you will be reminded about it.
Outlook also works with various cloud services, from OneDrive to Dropbox and Box. All these can be used for your attachments. With Outlook you will also be able to access your Google, Yahoo or iCloud accounts as well as many others.
Using the Outlook App
After you install the Outlook app you should be able to find the Add Account screen. Pick Outlook for your Microsoft account and you should be able to add your email address by following the instructions that show up on screen. You will also be required a code if you have two-factor authentication enabled.
After you set up your email you can go to Settings and turn on Focused Inbox. This function allows Outlook to filter the most important messages in Focused Inbox so that you can access them easily.
Using Outlook with the Gmail app
There is another way to use Outlook if you don’t like its official app. You can choose to set up the Outlook address with the Gmail app. Simple open Gmail and tap the small arrow next to your account name. Select Add account, choose Outlook, Hotmail and Live and enter your address.
