Pokémon Go Gen 3 Weather Effects and New Pokemon
Pokémon Go fans have been busy this week with the new and big Gen 3 update. The new update has brought 50 new Pocket monsters for trainers to catch. The biggest update is the new Weather Effects bonus system.
Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko have been confirmed
Although there is not a full list of all the new Pokémon monsters Gen 3 available, some such as Torchic, Mudkip and Treecko have been confirmed. Another feature brought by the update is a fix for a long issue: the storage space. The dev team has a storage capacity of minimum 50 additional monsters and a maximum storage of 500.
Trainers are excited knowing they will be able to catch 50 new Pokémon.
Pokémon Weather Effects bonus system
The weather conditions will be visible in the in-game map for Trainers while they are in search of Pokémon to catch. The best part is that the weather conditions will also impact the game, such as changing habitats and trainers getting more stardust after catching a Pokémon.
Water Pokémon will become visible after the rain begins and they will be stronger. The amount of stardust will also be higher, including the CP value. So far the weather effects known are Sunny, Rainy, Foggy, Partly Cloudy, Windy and Snowy.
Pokémon Battles will also be affected
The movesets of the battles will also sync with the weather conditions. For example a Trainer battling at a Gym or a Raid with a Charizard, during a sunny day, will make additional damage to its rivals. Those who are good at predicting weather conditions can win more battles and raids.
Weather effects is a nice addition to Pokémon Go, especially since games remain on leading positions when they receive good updates. Trainers get ready!
